Who We Are

meltmedia was founded in 2000 in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Since then, due to growth and the need for more space for our ever-expanding team, we have landed near the shores of Town Lake in nearby Tempe. Stop in and meet us if you're around. Our office dogs might bark, but they won't bite. We are serious about our business, but we try not to take ourselves too seriously.

Management

Dave Woodruff Founder and Chief Creative Director

Dave Woodruff, Partner and Chief Creative Director, is the driving force behind the creative face of meltmedia. As a trained visual designer with nearly thirty years of experience in graphic design and advertising, Dave brings a thorough depth of design knowledge. With experience in web design for nearly as long as the Internet has existed, Dave brings a balance of design and usability from the print medium to harmonize in the ever-evolving digital realm, always in search of the perfect combination of design, information and user experience.

Before founding meltmedia, Dave started his own creative agency, [dWw] Creative. Key clients included SkyMall, Major League Baseball, Motorola, Westcor, Gannet, Paradise Valley Hospital and Banner Health.

Previously, Dave worked with several leading design/advertising agencies as a designer and copywriter. These primer agencies included: the Gorilla Group, Kuipers-Berent and SLS& CO. After his tenure in agencies, Dave worked for St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, (AZ) a Division of Catholic Healthcare West as the hospitals top Graphic Designer before moving into the role of Creative Director. In this position. He was in charge of all advertising, copywriting, marketing and Web design activities for the hospital.

Dave is an award-winning designer, with recognition from organizations such as: Communications Arts, Print, AD2, Arizona and California Chapters of the AIGA, and the American Healthcare Advertising Awards.

Dave holds a B.A. from Arizona State University.

Mike Moulton Partner and Chief Technology Officer

Mike Moulton, Partner and Chief Technology Officer, is the technological guru of meltmedia. Although his background is spread across many fields of Internet and computer technology, his specialty and expertise is primarily in Web-based enterprise class applications.

Mike joined meltmedia in the spring of 2000 and has been a partner since 2001. In his position he is responsible for the firm’s cutting edge technology frameworks and processes to enable rapid development of modular components through the use of technologies such as ESB's, OSGi, and Java’s JCR. This allows meltmedia to assemble custom development solutions in a fraction of the time required by traditional development efforts, which enables meltmedia to continually over-deliver for all client endeavors.

Justin Grossman Managing Partner

Justin Grossman is the managing partner for meltmedia. With over 12 years of Internet and technology consulting experience, Justin has built a reputation of driving innovative solutions and forward thinking, fused with solid key principles behind business, technology and design. He has vast experience in strategy, project management, technology and operations and diverse market experience.

Prior to joining meltmedia, Justin started his consulting career at Accenture, global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. Following Accenture, Justin held tenure with two start-ups: Evergreen Internet, an e-commerce software company and Khimetrics, acquired by SAP, which provided on demand analysis software to help retailers optimize pricing. In both positions, Justin helped build and manage key relationships for professional services divisions.

His continuous drive for innovation and business led him to form meltmedia. Justin has consulted or managed several multi-million dollar projects with Fortune 500 companies including Genentech, 7-Eleven, PetSmart, Motorola and Johnson & Johnson.

Justin graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Business Honors College at Arizona State University with a B.S. in Management.
