In order to strike a balance between a marketing campaign and personalized messages, we developed an application with the familiarity of a web-based eMail interface. The system consisted of two simple tabs: one to send personalized messages and the second to manage contact information. To send a personalized message, a sales representative selects or types a name or group of names from their contact list, creates a greeting, and selects from pre-built marketing messages. Each message is formatted with the appearance of an eMail versus a marketing campaign. Within each message are additional links to a fully personalized web page.
The system aligns with the rep territory structure and sales team organization. This provides the marketing team with in-depth reporting on the specific information being sent, viewed and read per territory and how well it is received by clients.
